Assist in migrating the accounting system from QuickBooks to another version of QB, such as QBO or a new company file.
With hands-on experience in migrating data files (such as Customer and Vendor lists), and consulting in the tasks of accomplishing this migration from QB Enterprise to QBO, for example, our executive will spend the necessary time consulting, doing, and/or directing the work necessary to migrate from the current installation of QuickBooks to another company file or version, such as QBO, using purchased software (client responsibility), which he has experience in using successfully.

A separate purchase of the migration software will be required, and he will need full administrative rights to a computer with network access to the server where the QB files are installed locally (called the QuickBooks server).
This is typically quoted on an hourly basis because, in many instances, the tasks can not be locked down to a set or fixed period due to the many variables involved. Still, this is an estimate of the work contemplated. If the migration or task at hand takes less time, then you will only be responsible for the time spent. On the other hand, if the work is not completed inside this timeframe, and if there is more work to be done, as suspected, a plan moving forward will be outlined for what’s needed to complete the work or migration, and the parties can discuss what necessary with more intelligence at that time.
It is yet unknown, for instance, if the transactions for the previous months on the version of QuickBooks being used, such as Enterprise, will be able to be migrated successfully, and this frankly won’t be known until we get into doing the tasks at hand. There are a lot of factors at play, such as the data size, version, condition of the data fields, and its ability to be mapped without issues, for instance.
Plus, it can’t be said for sure if this work will be completed before the allotted time, but arrangements will be made to review the progress of what was done and if further assistance is necessary. In other words, we will dedicate whatever time is necessary to help get the data migrated successfully.
We provide clients with a special discounted hourly rate for onsite expert work from our executive, but when further assistance is needed that can be conducted by one of our Click IT techs, then our standard rates would apply, with any discounts normally extended there as well.
